Those broken parts are minor and could be replaced easily. And more than likely it was a combination of both packing by the engine supplier and rough handling from the shipping company. The idle up valve gets broken on a regular basis.

I asked about the ecu because there were (3) other ecus besides yours left behind. Some were automatics and some were manuals and (1) said CA18DET on it, but I never saw the code 22 before on a CA ecu, so I'm kinda spooked. One of the automatic ecus are missing and I was fearing that it was in one you guys' shipment! Whatever the case, it can be corrected easily. I never got a chance to inspect your motor, but I do most of his testing on all CA18s. I hope it works out great for you and nothing wrong with a good piece of @$$ to get a project started:D . The intercooler piping is pretty a straigh forward install withall the pipes terminating on the driver's side where the intercooler will be. The plasic one attaches up by the radiator to your throttle body via the big/black elbow hose.

OHHH SNAP .. I forgot your were in that area .. hah .. i think i know what number your talking about now ... its 24 ... its written in PINK YAY! .. lol hope that doesnt mean i got teh ghey ecu O_o? hah .. well im glad u test those engines.. now i feel alot more confident... its a nice engine .. looks pretty clean to me ... i mean for its age .. its alot better looking then my KA was .. all the plugs on my KA were missing the pins and were brittle ... a few of the plugs on this engine were damaged .. but thats no biggie .. theyre not broken .. just a lil cracked .. still fuctionable .. may wrap em good with elec. tape so they dont get wet and short.. but Craig has been really helpfull with me and i have faith that ive been treated good and will be assisted ... and like ive said in my emails to him .. if all goes well .. i may get them some more business with honda engines .. all the ricers here want them .. and a honda swap for me is a walk in the park ... im new at turbos .. all i really know is they need alot more maintence .. im learning off NICO and trying to make new freinds in the area that have some experiance with them .. so dull here in NM :(

Craig is on of the few friends I have that import motors! Yours was actually something he tried on his own to see if he could move them on ebay. I don't think he's all too deterred by it and there may be more specials in the future. He is a good guy and if anything goes wrong with that motor, he already knows to get it back and get you another, though I will be doing the tear-down;) . He does most of his business via internet because there are too many low-ballers in our area. You couldn't have bought from a more cooler guy.

WHile it's out of the car you might as well pull off the AAC stuff and clean it out REAL good with carb cleaner.Mine is stuck and so are most people's with the CA18 ;)

Cept mine is in a JDM TyT3 Silvia K ph34r! ;)

It's the idle control system, you'll see a funny little "motor" and this long bolt head looking thing with an electrical connector on the end attached directly to the intake plenum on the engine side of it (right where the plate says ECCS or whatever)

well ... i found another problem .. this is really getting annoying .. :( ... i removed the ac pump cuz my car didnt come with it .. and i took the intake hose off the turbo and like a cup of oil poured out .. i just figured it may be oil from the engine being shipped and moved around .. well i dont know much about turbos .. but arent they supposed to spin freely ??? cuz this one is LOCKED up .. like AKON and s**t .. ;) it wont spin at all .. now tell me thats normal .. before i blow my head gasket...

Alrighty dog, he wants me to handle it. We can discuss this in private email or we can do it here on the forums. if you want my phone #, I'll email it to you. This is one of the reasons why he lets me handle the nissan stuff. He's leaving to Japan this weekend and we must get some resolve before he steps. I'm pretty swamped with getting engines ready to roll for other members, but I can help shine some light on your dilemmas.

Ok .. he called me .. we talked and he said he'll ship me a turbo from another ca he has .. and ill ship him back this one .. all i need is the turbo and the out pipe .. the one with 3 bolts .. with the simular bolt pattern like the thermostat housing .. lol i dont know the names of these pipes .. Compressed air outlet?? hah anyways i need that and a turbo ... the lines seem fine and all else seems good .. put on the waterpump earlier wasnt that bad in there .. but am i glad i got that over with .. but he told me he checked the compression on it when he got it .. and he seen it run in japan .. he assured me that the engines good and i take his word for it .. just happen to have some bad luck with shipping and the turbo got a good slam on the outlet pipe which cracked it and i think that screwed the housing up .. cuz i looks like the turbines/shaft got bent .. i dunno ull see it maybe when i sent it back .. but just let him know which parts i need being that u understand what parts i need cuz u know these engines :) once again thanks a million i really appreciate it .. and if u dont know what parts im talking about email me with a number and ill call u to explain ..
