In researching prices on engine air cleaners/filters, I see several sites says change requires 2 filters.
I know one is located up front just back of the radiator on the drivers side; a very very easy change out.
I'm puzzled where the second one would be if it's true it needs 2.
Can someone advise.

thanks

Both are at the front and kind of next to each other. Follow the two intake pipes going towards the radiator and you will see. You need to remove the radiator cover

Take a look at this link http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/QX70/2015%20QX70/em.pdf There's an image on page 29 of the EM section showing their location.

What is the best tool to use to remove the plastic retainer clips over the radiator cover? And is it necessary to remove all of them around the perimiter?
Thanks

Some of us have removed that entire air intake snorkel/radiator cover and left it off. I haven't had mine on in probably 2 years. I did some testing of temps, etc. and the different is negligible.

You'll have to remove like 7-8 clips if I recall.

Quick question, is your engine the V6 or V8?

Whoa! Shocking. There is another air cleaner.
So now it's 20 bucks vs 10.
thanks again

I recommend you just buy the OEM ones. It's a rather infrequent maintenance item, I wouldn't risk anything else
