Pull the thermostat and see how she acts. There's been a bad batch of thermostats bought and I happen to have bought two, months a apart and they both did the same thing which is just stop functioning and caused my car to run hot.

Also wouldn't hurt to put a good coolant temp gauge in, the stock gauge is next to worthless.

Water pumps should cost no more than$65 and if you're going to run the fan clutch, you'll need a factory shroud to make this thing really effective. If you need one, I have a gang of those fans with clutches that I'll let go for the absolute low-low because I don't need them for my applications, but hate to throw away stuff that someone may have a use for much later down theroad.

Yea, pull the thermo and stick it in a pot of water on the stove and make sure it opens like it should. Also, as Dee said, that stock fan is great, as long as you have the shroud.

The shroud is a no-no, but the fans are plentiful.

ight so i got the thermostat out and it looks like a turd on a bad stretch of road...everything is cracked and worn out but it still functions and opens at about 140 so prolly runs at about 160 to 180im gonna get a new one anyway for 11 bux w/gasket but still wont change much with overheating....i think im just not pulling enough air through. so boost boy if u can get me a clutch fan asap it would be wondeful.once again im 93536 Lancaster, California. i havnt delt with shipping things before so ull have to walk me through it lol but i have money for ya
