hey guys, most of you know my story, I live in Japan, My pathfinder is sitting in my dad's garage not moving but once or twice a month. I guess my dad can't take it anymore. We were talking the other day, and he said his 95 Hardbody has basically rusted away to the point where he doesn't want to fix it. so my Moms and Pops have a 88 Linclon Town car, 95 Hard body, and a 09 Prius.

My dad has offered to take over the payments on my Pathy and get rid of his two dinosuars.

This being said I will have no car payments while I'm here in Japan, and can start throwing that much more money at my Epic IS300 build.

But I'm still going to need a Truck/SUV when I move back home. after looking at what available today (I'm not going to buy new, ever again) I'll only buy something between 2-5 yrs old with the exception of a 2003 QX4I've come up with a few options, and here they are

07-09 Range Rover sport

2005-2008 Lexus RX330

2009+ Lexus RX350

Or of coarse a 2003 QX4.. Which out of all these, is by far the best to tow with, easiest to work on, and cheapest, but I'll have to do just as much as I had planned on doing to the Pathy to be happy.

Lowered, kit, rims...and just drive....But it can't tow my race car!!

I hate to even think of it, but I wonder how long its going to be until GM comes out with a hydrogen powered suburban?

I love range rovers/land rovers, i had a 00 discovery se7 for 3 weeks, nothing but problems. Dont get me wrong their strong vehicles but the stupidest things break. My dads 03 discovery has only 85k kms and this year alone had an oil pan gasket leak, broken coolant tank, broken steering dampener, spark plug wires totalled/cracked causing a misfire, coil issues...yikes. I didnt hear good things from range rover owners while waiting at the service area either! but if you love it, youll spend on it, like my dad. They are an absolute dream to drivvveeeeee

Dont go with range rover, bad reliability. Won't last you very long. Are these cars for Japan or United States. That Harrier/ RX looks sick!!!!!!

This will be for when I come back to the states for good. I'm thinking since I'll be towing around a trailer, tools, and a race car, I might end up spending a few G's on an older Chevy or something just for towing. I'm really liking the Lexus 330 all kited up, It too bad Infinitii didnt piggy back off the R51, they could of done something really killer with it. I don't know what to do, I want to make a decision though, because I can start gathering parts while I'm here. The Range Rover is Killer!! but I know they have problems...so I'm keeping it in my mind...and I'm on the fence with the 350, its either really bad a**, or just too godie. I think the 330 FTW.

If you can find a new used range rover that has been manufactured under Tata reliability will never be an issue. Ford is what f***ed those up so much.

The FX has a love it, hate it look. I'm on the hate it side. I'd rather have a lowered QX4 with my big brake kit, wheels, my own exhaust, and a pair of turbo's. then rework the dash, install system....and damn, I'm back to building another car! I kind of want something I can just throw some wheels on, maybe some other small boltons, and just go. The XM6 or Lexus can give me that, but at a cost.
