At 38% of our gravity, it would be lucky to hold atmosphere enough to equal what we have on some of our highest mountains, if we could somehow get enough electric discharge in the air to make O3...

That's what I mean, it's gonna have to be airlocks or underground. If I HAD TO give a movie reference, I'd say Total Recall without all the alien or giant air generator crap at the end. Or Arnold. lol

I don't see it in any time I'm gonna be alive tho.

It's kinda sad, but I guess technology must move on. We need to use something more fuel efficient and cost effective. Space shuttle missions are very expensive. I wonder what's next?

Im sorry to bring back an old thread but this vid made me remember that NASA's space programs had been cut. Its hard to believe that it hasnt even been a year yet, but it feels like its been many. It was touching and brought up good points about people that want to be scientists but cant be because of it. I love the narrator. I recognize his voice and can see his face but I really dont know his name.

Anyways as a side thought, I think that science and humans are advanced enough to make new leaps with new ways of travel like ion propulsion, and probly many new ideas that havent been thought of by anyone else. It doesnt mean getting to the next closest star (which is generations away), but just being able to circle around the solar system with a few spacecrafts at once to study everything we live in. Being able to travel to other planets further and quicker allows us to advance one step at a time into the void of the Universe. I want to see the day where you can site see the other 7 planets and their moons out of the window of a space shuttle.

We were using sh*t tons of oxygen and hydrogen provided using fossil fuels to power our spacecraft, and we have no other tech to get us off the planet (supposedly, I'm not exactly in with the gov on this).

We have to come up with a cheaper method of getting off the planet before we start taking regular trips. I can understand why they pulled back.
