Ok, so I just started the process of rebuilding a CA and decided to get ARP rod bolts (naturally). Of course I looked for whatever info I could and as usual, there's nothing about getting the bolts themselves other than "go to Eric's Performance on Ebay." Well I did just that just to save time, but was planning on sending my stock bolts to ARP to either have them match the bolts to something they already have or hope they'd start producing them for the general public. I don't know how things work on Ebay (my Paypal was shut down a couple years ago), but I've always heard Eric's Performance won't release details on part numbers so I didn't even ask. But I ordered over the phone and I received my invoice tonight. Lo and behold it has a part number:

Now this part number does not match ARP's part number for the KA24DE (102-6003), but it does match their number for their L20 rod bolts. I'll let y'all know if everything goes smoothly with these at the machine shop after I get them. Regardless of how it goes, I'll measure these, the stock bolts, and send the stock bolts to ARP for confirmation of a part number. But as of now it looks like 202-6001 could be our part number for ARP rod bolts for our motors.

Got the bolts today. They don't look to be repacked or anything, and the part number matches what we were expecting.

I'll drop them off at the machine shop Monday and I guess we'll see if there's any problems. So far it doesn't look as though there will be.

That's interesting. When I bought my rod bolts from him, they were DEFINITELY repackaged. I wonder if he found out that these work as well?

When I bought mine, they came in a different packaging, they were sealed with wrap and the part number on them was ARP 202-4302...

Needless to say, the fitted perfectly and when I compared them to the original bolts they were exactly the same length-wise.

Edit: whoops, I just saw "rod bolts". I used as well 202-6001 even though my rods originally came with ARP2000 bolts. I still have them (I think) in case someone needs any measurements.

My ARP rod bolts came with my K1 rods. If I had known this was a topic that needed clarification, I would have requested the part number that Wiseco/K1 sends with the rods. Either way, good work!

I don't think the ones for aftermarket rods would be the same as for OEM rods, would they?

Hello mdb4879,

Were you able to fit the ARP 202-6001 rod bolts into the stock CA18det conrods?

I just got my short block back from the machine shop yesterday. They didn't say they had any problems with them so I'm assuming they're good to go. We'll find out for sure here in a few months when I can get this thing back together and drive it.

So ARP 202-6001 bolts fit 100% to OEM CA rods? Can someone confirm it?

Thanks :)
One last quick question, is it possible to change them without taking the engine apart, just removing the oil pan?

I wouldn't recommend it. Any time you change the rod bolts, you should confirm that the rod ends haven't gone out of round... That being said, move didn't change at all when I changed them. So if you do it anyway, you'll probably be fine, but it's not how it's supposed to be done.
