I do not know what this peice is called but if you locate the trunk release button inside the car, to the right of them are 2 empty spots. I am trying to remove one so I can put in my own switch, how do I remove this piece?

If you take the panel off the fuse box by your left foot, you should be able to stick your hand up there and press the tabs to push the empty panel out.

ok, so you don't have child hands...

Perhaps try using a thinner flat head screw driver with a cloth to prevent scratching and try to gently pry it out.

i tried gently prying and then not so gently prying, it wont come out. i got my hands almost up there and i can feel an unused wiring harness hooked up to it i think.
