Alright this may be a stupid question...But what (if any) are the advantages of removing all the emission's parts off the engine? If the removal of anything helps, what should I take off? Thanks.

maby a few horse power, but its also illegal in many states, and it can build up to a hefty fine if you do

Illegal in 49 states due to federal law, just not enforced everywhere. CA is exempt from federal law, but is at least as stringent with their own state requirements and enforcement is widespread.
