I live in one of the few counties in Virginia that requires an emission test. Right now I am in Tennessee at school in a county that has a stricter emissions test than Virginia.
Anyways, my situation is that my emissions inspection is due in May and I have a N/A that was recently swapped to a TT.
I am wondering if I will be able to pass emissions with a TT motor that will be run as a N/A.
I am trying to find someone who i can pay under the table to pass it as is, and reregistering to TN is out of the question because I would be in a worse situation.
Here is my current mod list:
Performance:
US TT motor with ~75k miles
Stock Turbos
Nismo 740cc injectors
’95 TT EFI Harness
Stock oil cooler
Stock TT radiator
Stock TT fuel pump with N/A FPC
Stock intercoolers and piping
Stock recirc valves
N/A ECU (socket and chipped to TT spec)
JSEC POP charger
NGK Spark plugs
Deletes, Bypasses, and Relocations:
Knock sensor relocated
EGR delete
Carbon canister delete
AIV delete
Throttle body coolant delete
Exhaust:
JDM downpipes
Stock N/A cats
HKS Hi Power Catback (will be using my N/A exhaust)
Has anyone tried to run a TT swap as a N/A?
What are my chances of passing as it sits now?
What can I do to get it to pass?
Any feedback will help!
