Emissions boxes

Hey I have a red top sr20 and I'm jw if the two emmissions boxes that are ran into the valve cover are needed, or can I remove them and plug the openings left over? Thanks

One of them I believe is a plastic box, that one should be removed. The other one I think you're talking about is the metal oil catch can towards the rear of the engine, don't remove that one unless you have an aftermarket catch can.

okay thanks. The one box that i remove, i can just plug the hose it was connected to? ill take pics and post them on here so its a little easier for you...

Nope, my fault I was thinking of something different. The black box is important, and that whole silver thing can be thrown away.
