I just had my emissions checked (in Virginia) and they said it failed because the the "NO2" level was too high in the exhaust.

It's supposed to be at 738 or below and mine was at 1300 something.

I have a pace-setter header and cat back system, with an aftermarket high flow cat that is almost brand new. The cat was designed for a chevy v8 engine but fits my setup.

Also, I have an aftermarket intake setup and so have an breather type air filter going into the AIV diaphram thingy.

Has anyone run into this before? Should I put the intake stuff back to stock? Should I get a new OEM cat? Would an oil change and tune up do more good?

Thanks,

If you're worried about passing emissions, check out your local part shops, they may have a gasoline additive that will help you pass.

Also, your AIV filter probably is a factor in your high emissions.
