Emission time in AZ

Well i got emissions coming up in AZ i have a newly swaped SR and i am mocking up all of the egr sheet... i have been reading on all the emissions posts and was wondering if i bump my idle a little higher maybe say 1100 1200 at max will this help or hurt? If any AZ folks here let me know how hard is it to pass the visual inspection?

Here is what I did...Im in Peoria, Az

I ran a bottle and 1/2 of denatured alcohol on a 1/4 of a tank of 91. Bolted up a 3in Catco cat. Pull vacuum from my HKS. Wastegate to stock psi. Ran it on the freeway for 10-15 min before pulling up to emissions.

im running everything staock excewpt for elbow and down pipe, exhaust is stock 240 just for emissions LOL

They look for your evap canister and pinch off the return line to the tank,then they pressurize the system,i forget how many psi,and ther computer slowly bleeds out the air,this lets them know if the evap canister is hooked up and not leaking. Some stations wnt pay attention if your canister is missing and just mark it inaccesable. I wouldnt risk not havin it. Some1 else will hav 2 tell ya how to pass the sniffer part of the test, as thats tuning which I havnt got 2 yet,my sr just got here today,as far as the egr system,they cant sit and search that out so they dont. I used to work for them in AZ,run whatever you want as long as the evap system works,gas cap is good and it passes the sniffer,they dont care. Most of the workers just want to get you outta ther cause they hate that company and could couldnt give 2 s***s. Stay away from the older ladies ther sticklers for the rules. Take the stickers outta the inside of your hood too,that tells them if you are supposed to have an airpump or not,what kinda cat,and the location of evap canister!
