I've searched all over the web and still can't find the info. Anyone have or know where I can find the emission standards for 49 state emissions and 50 state emissions? Mainly the numbers that pertain to 240sx. I just want to know how much more I'm allowed with a 49 state 240sx compared to a 50 state 240sx.

The proper way to say this is Federal emissions and California emissions. Also the standards are different from state to state, and in Seoul, Korea, I am sure they use a completely different standard all together. Not to sure what you are trying to figure out here...

This is for the New York State.

Emissions Test Limits:HC 0.80CO 15.00N0x 2.00

anything above those numbers you'll fail. also, you have to pass safety and visual inspections.

When looking it up, a lot of sites referred it to 49 and 50 state emissions, so I figured that 's the proper way to say. Anyways, I don't need to smog my car in Korea. The car was bought in FL, registered in GA, then registered in WA, and I'll be moving to CA. I should be able to register my car under federal emissions from what I understand in CA due to being military. I was curious the difference in emission numbers for federal and CA for my car.

Ok, well so you know, the reason for federal and california emissions are because californias emissions are more strict than the other 49 states. So, the emissions laws in CA are more strict than other states and you would need to find out the emissions restrictions for california.

A quick google search found this...
