Eminem's new CD blows

I...um..."bought" the CD today and I must say that it is by far his worst CD and quite possibly the worst CD I have heard in a long time. None of his lyrics are good anymore. He's run out of things to get mad about, so now he just tries to be funny I guess...only it doesn't work. I was so mad after listening to the whole CD (which was quite a chore) that I put the CD in the microwave so I could get at least 2 seconds of enjoyment out of it.

Eminem is now officially a tool and everything that's wrong with music today.

Did you jsut give it one listen? I find that you have to hear something at least 3x to even start to judge it..case in point is mos def's new one. But anyways, I tthink the new Em has some good cuts, but my fav of his is Infinite. THe other CDs are just too off/on.

I think his new album is pretty good. It's nice to have at least someone that's not afraid to say what he feels, and be politically active in his lyrics rather than just talking about "banging bishez and shootin thugs", though I love my gangta rap too

I don't think he'll ever be able to recapture the momentum that he had on the first CD.

I'm not a big fan of the genre, but damn, the kid is talented.

I agree with Nick, though. For someone who caused so much commotion when he came on the scene, now he's like Sesame Street innocuous, certainly not threatening or worthy of a "parental advisory".

All the good ones sell out (if they want to get rich).

While arguable, that is how rap originated. It was a means of political expression. It's hard to believe but rap used to be about more than money, cash, hoes. :p

I have the CD and I like it overall. There are some tracks that just dont make sense but hey that is his persona. He flips it though. I think this album is more fun and games than lyrical content. But if you listen closely you will hear that the man has lyrics.

All the bands on Rock Against Bush are pretty big names as far as punk goes. There are a LOT of people here that know them.

On a side note, anyone here Snoops new album? It's definatly interesting, less entertaining than Eminems but its got some good beats.

ive only talked to a few poeple on here that know them, id love to talk to more people that like that stuff

at the same time, youre in california, punk has a lot more of a mainstream footing there, probably more than anywhere else. by me in the northeast, people listen to it but its very underground, you have to know about it because you would never hear of the bands from many other people

of course some of those bands, like green day, people know of yes. but take even like nofx and bad religion, two of the most well known punk bands anywhere, and nobody knows of them
