Also why is my Silvia not right hand drive
Haha Where do i start? Ill try an be nice even though you didnt search Nico or Google. Okay lets see here...Your Silvia is a 240SX, that is why it is left hand drive. It is in fact not a Silvia at all, that's what the Japanese version of your car is called. JN1MS3 i believe is the first 6 letters of an American bound S13 VIN (Vehicle Identification Number located on silver plate attached to your firewall, underneath your hood)Second of all. You bought a drift knob. Did you think that since it had drift in the name all you had to do was pull it and you would automatically drift? Drifting a car is a complicated technique that takes more than parts to accomplish. It is a controlled slide through a corner. The purpose of a drift knob is to ease the use of your emergency brake during driving. Thats it. You don't have to hold down the little button on the end of the e-brake to pull it up an put it down, making it a lot faster and easier. This is especially useful for drifters, who use the e-brake on a regular basis to initiate their slide or increase angle. That is why it is called a drift knob. You still have to go out and learn how to drift. There is nothing wrong with your car. It is stalling because you are not doing it right. There is a whole forum dedicated to drifting on here and thousands of youtube videos of how-to-drift's. Its best to find a track to practice, but a lot of people end up using empty closed parking lots. Check out this video (and then continue with the links on the sides through part 2,3,4, etc.) Your friend was right, the car will most definitely drift if you learn how to drive it, but it's not going to be an overnight thing.

There is a Sticky at the top of the 240SX forum with a lot of various information on the s-chassis that would help you clear up a lot about your car.
