ok so my friend is out on the road now and needs help. he has a 95 altima with cruise control. the problem is that when he is in PARK and NEUTRAL the RPM's shoot up and he can go without pressing the gas. PLEASE let us know what we should do. HE thinks it might be cruise control, i think it might be a stuck throttle cable but i do not know the engine too well.

what do u guys think it is and what should we do? my aim sn is leefrancais12

get at me asap! he is on the road doing deliveries, i hope his engine doesnt seize!

Check for a broken gas pedal bracket. the spot welds to the fire wall suck re welding it is a pain in the a** mig welder is too hot the bracket just melts away. I used a oxy-acy. torch to braze mine worked great if you can do it with out catching the car on fire. welding blankets will come in handy. I hope this helped.
