!!!! Emergency Dash Situation !!!!

OK, so I'm driving home from school just like any other day and i looked over my dash and i saw it! It was just there. and I didn't believe it at first but then i looked a lil harder and it reassured what i had seen.... A CRACK IN MY DASH!!! It was messing with me pointing right at me. everytime i looked at it it was laughing at me. So the whole time i was drinving i was trying not to lose my cool. And i tarted thinking, what the hell am i gonna do; or better yet what CAN i do??? my first thought was to just throw it out the window. i said naaaawwww, I''m going to "stay calm and do not turn into the Hulk." ( cuz i have been working out you know heh:D). So anyways i figured i would get that fiberglass universal dash that someone made (I cant remember who or what mag i saw it in). then i said to myself universal my @$$. ONE SIZE DOES NOT FIT ALL!!!!! but i was wondering if there is a fiberglass dash for our cars? hmm. also my friend is working on a 1990 nissan hardbody and he is going to fiberglass the dash. so once he is done that, i might do mine as well. But one thing i knew for sure I was definately going to post here for help. So people what do you think? god its so horrible i want to cry. just a big line. just there. taunting. grrrrrrrr. :help

I don't think there is... best bet would be just to get a dash from a wrecked 240. One that's in good condition of course.

i remember someone saying something about they were going to start making fiberglass/ carbon fiber parts and stuff ( like i remember a carbon fiber sunroof strong enufff to stand on) well how about a fiberglass dash or a carbon fiber dash? how hard would it be to make? what would harder to make a fiberglass or a carbon fiber dash????

A glassmat dash could be made very easily. Carbon fiber or other woven composites are a bit more difficult, but still doable. Just take care in the sharp bends towards the ends of the dashboard where the dash meets the door. Otherwise it is doable as well. As we speak I've a large roll of glassmat for the mold of the dashboard, some kevlar for the first layer of the dashboard (abrasion and vibration resistance) and then some crow 10.9oz carbon waiting to become a dashboard as I've got several large cracks in my dashboard. Just tell me if you happen to come across a gel that's got UVA and UVB protection in it without having to be ordered in a huge quantity.

I've never seen or had a crack in my dash, but wtf is the big deal lol. I'm usually kinda picky about ****, but I just don't get this one...Maybe it'll be different if I get a crack in mine.

o yeah buddy you'll see. its like having a huge zit on your face b4 prom or some $h!t like that. just hope it doesnt happen to you. its like haveing a 6 inch crack on your volk te-37's. see heh is that better? someone help me explain this situation here. its bad man bad. i odnt know whta im going to do. what the hell do i need a dash for anyway??? no no no. its thee for a reason. i find something to do with it. pray for me.

It happened to me also... now i just dont give a fuk about the crack. I'll buy another dash eventually... I may convert interior to black but have not decided

mine cracked too.. Im just trying to fix it up so I can sell it though, its auto... hopefully when I sell it I can get a good 3grand for it so I can get a 91 with like 300K miles on it for like 600$ and then ahve enough for an sr...
