Yesterday I got in my car and took the emergency brake off b/c it's a 5 speed. I started driving and it kinda felt as if the emergency brake was still engaged. I felt like something was holding me back, and also lost a little power. my question is. how do you check to see if the brake has fully disengaged. yeah i know. ya'll are probably thinking, LET THE CAR ROLL to see. but that doesn't necessarily mean that it's fully disengaged. hope everything makes sense. thanks.

If your rear wheels are too hot to touch after a drive, then you have problems. Otherwise you're probably just imagining things.

I would take the rear wheels off and try to move the rotor by hand. If it is extremely difficult, the follow the e-brake cable to see if it is binding on something. I've heard of this problem on 00-01s.
