Emergecy:oil light on

I just got a new engine put into my 96 240 and about 2 weeks later the oil light comes on.If i give it a little gas it goes of but when i let go it comes back on.The only problem is this happened before and that is why i had to get a new engine because the bearings spun.Just don't want it to happen again.Now the oil light just stays on.Please get back to me asap.Thanks

that's the oil pressure light. it's telling you the oil pressure is low. Check your oil level. make sure it's up to the right amount. If the light doesn't go away, then I hope you got a warranty on the engine you got.

That's what i thought it was but wasn't sure.I do have a warranty on it. Thanks for your help
