Hi everyone,
Well it happened to me, I left my car parellel parked in Providence on a Friday night and the next morning when I drove my V to work, I saw the back on the hatch pushed in. (I'm way too ashamed to post the pics) No scaratches or scraps just a solid thud to the rear over the SL emblem.
After $425 to a local paintless dent company, I can safely say the car looks new again. I went back to the Nissan dealership where I bought the V and ordered a new "SL" emblem. They guys at the Nissan service remounted the emblem, however, when they reapplied it, they didn't measure so the it's 3 inches off center. The S also appears to be crooked.
I'm wondering how the manufactor applies the emblem's to the cars? You would think the Nissan dealership would follow instructions as set by the factory? Do they follow a templete or do just have to measure and guess?
Any suggestions as to what I should do now?
