I searched for this but all I could find was some threads about certain models not coming with badging and some questions about smoking out tail-lights. I noticed at least a few people have removed emblems or badges from the back of the V. I'm looking to remove the Nissan emblem from the rear hatch. Is this simply glued or taped in place, or does it use posts that go into holes? What would be the best way to go about removing it? Clipsed: I think I found your cardomain page and noticed that you had yours removed - any input here?

all you need is some fishing wire and goo-gone, and some rags. Place rags under the nissan emblem on the bumper to catch any goo-gone that runs down. Soak the emblem with goo-gone, let it sit for about 5 mins. and soak it again, take the fishing wire, and slowly work it back and forth between the body and emblem. IT SHOULD slide VERY EASILY, if it is hard to work, let the goo-gone soak longer, cause if you do it while it is not easy, you risk scratching it. Once you get it off, wash everything up nicely with car wash soap and water, and BLAMO! You are done.

I just used Un-Du which is a scrapbooking supply, the emblems popped right off in no time with less clean up than with goo gone.

everyone has there own ways of doing things. I have been using goo-gone since I was about 3 years old when I got into my hobby of model railroading. I have to say that Goo-Gone is great for MANY MANY uses other than just removing sticky stuff. While undo is probably only good for removing stickers and things of that nature. I always have and always will use goo-gone, because I have had nothing but GREAT experiences with it! Even though it feels oily, it is not, plus it smells fantastic! Don't argue me with this one though, because I love the stuff, and well . . . you don't want to see the other side of me . . . hahaha.

I just use a hair dryer. Keep the dryer close enough to it heats up the glue but far enough so you dont make your car a different color. it only takes about 2 mins or less...then just use a credit card and start peeling the emblem off. Afterwords you have to buy some X-solevent(sp?) and remove the excess glue left on your car. I still need to put my TIIDA emblem on but im too lazy...But i removed the S emblem and this worked.

Hey - Like I said, I searched. I searched for emblem, emblems, badge and badges and all I could find were a couple of threads about people who didn't get certain badges with their HB and people who wanted to find alternate badges - I couldn't find anything on the removal of the badges.

But thank you to everyone for all the input. I'll probably use the Goo Gone, or I guess I could see if my girlfriend has some Un-Du, she's really into scrapbooking. =)

Weird, because when I do a search looking for info on Versas that came badgeless (like mine) I mostly just get threads on removing badges. I just want to know when did they start using the S/SL badges and have there been any known issues with the early models I should be aware of? (I got mine in May 07 from a used dealership but it only had about 30 miles on it)

Thanks Clipsed. I knew there was a hidden dodger fan or two on this forum. I really like being here in Murrieta. I work in San Diego for Sony Electronics (I know you're a sony hater... just keep the comments clean ) but I would never want to live there, so just brave the commute (hey, it'sw why I bought my V!). The cost of living is just way too high and I could never give up the beautiful scenery in this area.

cool, no I have nothing against Sony, I just think that their Car audio could be developed in a MUCH better way. I mean wow some of the knock off brands are better than Sony equipment. I have to hand it to them for the BT technology they introduced, but that still does not make up for there crappy Car Audio equipment quality which could be developed a lot better, and this I know. I love their TVs, they are AMAZING! We still have our 20+ year old 32" tube Trinitron TV, and it is still going strong as a bull with nothing wrong with it! But yea, nothing against Sony. Must be fun driving that trip to work! wow and I thought my aunt was crazy driving from Apple Valley to East LA every day!

o0o and my mom works at Dodger Stadium!

Hehe I went to go buy a deck. The guy tried to sell me a Sony (I told him what I wanted it to do and how much I wanted to pay), and I was like "yeaaaah, I was told not to get a Sony" and he's like yeah I'm sorry, I had to. And took me to another part of the display. :p
