i was shocked theres no threads about this in the archives. i want to get rid of my rear emblems and my front emblem was stolen so all the adhesive is on the hood and looks bad. in the past iv used a hair dryer and tons of elbow grease. whats the best teqnique for emblem removal?

You pretty much said it hair dryer. If you having fishing line you can cut thru some off the adhesive. I used some 3m adhesive remover and bug n tar remover+hair dryer then just polish etc..Way easier in hot weather.

i used some 'goo gone' and some time. just rubbing at it and saturating the adhesive over and over with the goo gone. afterwards, i used a small buffing machine and a 3 step polishing system from mcguiers. i think it's called something like crystal paint system...1 paint cleaner, 1 polish, 1 wax.

actually, i'm not sure if it's paint safe. after using a bunch of it on my paint it left a very slight haze, but after using my electric buffer it's gone and glossy. the haze wasn't really noticeble though, i think it might have been most of the residue and plus the fact my paint is kind of dark so things show up easier.
