The back of my 1994 Infiniti J30t now only says "...30t".

Rumor has it that the emblem is gold plated? - don't know if that's true, but I'd sure like to find a used "J" somewhere out there. Thanks!

Get yourself a regular J30t logo from an auto salvage yard/auto recycler and buy yourself a portable (hobbyist) gold plating kit (you can get a decent one for $100-130 (U.S) including 24k gold solution and do it yourself. I have a dealer outfitted "gold package" J30t . I have re-touched things like emblems and door handles. The gold plating fades over time. If your enterprising you can even start an on the side gold plating business (I've done it during periods of unemployment-especially after the tech bust, to supplement my income).

i have the gold package on my 94, and it does start to fade. must be a very thin electroplated layer from the dealer. when i get it painted next year, ill probably have the emblems and the door handles replated.
