How many people on here have shipped their ecu's off to have them tuned by them? Sounds like a pretty sweet deal. Seriously considering it

The ECU or the car? I dont know of these guys but when it comes to tuning its best to see how the car reacts to the tune and getting some dyno tests as well.

I would never just send out the ECU

I didn't ship him my ECU. Nor did I purchase an ECU tuned by him.I did, however, purchase a daughterboard, and chip setup that was tuned to my specs. I then soldered it in my self. Soldered in the 40 pin header, and swapped over a jumper on the ECU. All said and done, my car runs awesome! I've done nothing but praise Jasons work. Track video and stuff is in my sig.But I don't see a problem with letting him do it. Other than the down-time you will incur by doing it that way. His tune that he provided me is rock solid. I fine tuned it with my SAFC and my Wideband O2. Good as gold. I also ran it on some consult software with the Blazt cable and checked everything out in real time. Timing is spot on for my tune, and everything looks awesome. I really recommend him personally. He's an awesome guy, and his tunes are just as good! And if you change something, he only charges like $50 to burn you new chips you can just plug in.(I have a twin cam KA, you may or may not need chips, or a daughterboard. He can give you more info on that stuff)

he seems pretty nice, i emailed him and had a response within like 30 minutes and its like 9:30 p.m .hah was not expecting a reply today. i think i will just go through him. 125$ for an ecu tune is awesome compared to other sites.

I installed his daughterboard and tune today. Car runs great! Pulls strong all the way to redline. This is from the butt dyno but it sure feels like I have more power.Only thing I noticed was some sloppy soldering on the daughteboard. I have experience soldering so I just cleaned it up. I pulled the computer, installed the chip, and put it all back together during my lunch break. It is pretty easy to do.I recommend it.

I've talked to Jason about this, and it seems like there are a select few just starting $HIT with him for personal reasons. People on Nico have had nothing but good results, and until there's more solid ground, this shouldnt hurt his rep.

I bought one of his tunes, it's in the mail, if anything is wrong with it you better believe I'm gonna post everything up, but until then I'm not gonna go around spreading $HIT on other forums.

im still waiting for my motor to be together. but i will be needing a tune when it is. It is suspicious how postit4fun has this crazy first post. I love suggestions from people but this guy seems like he spent way too much time putting his whole presentation together w/ screen shots and all,

this is a brand new account setup by my competition 'efispecialst'

he says he purchased a ecu from me in june 2007. but he's only got 1 post on nico? I asked him for the paypal transaction ID and he could not come up with one. this is totally BS.

also this guy states he lives in el cajon, ca (san diego).. funny, if that was true we'd live less than 5 miles from each other. on Zilvia he says he's from LA

I really don't like to talk crap or start stuff on forums but must defend myself.

First off, what is your name? you say I sold you a ka ecu as a sr? whats your paypal transaction id? show me some proof. this is total BS. also how do you know who I have working for me? why dont you come down?

10845 Rancho Bernardo Rd #105San Diego, 92127

or give me a call at the shop 619-467-5446 ask for Jason.

Also before you post ridiculous stuff like that, which posts are yours on zilvia stating I didnt sell you the correct ecu? Why wouldn't you use those posts instead of other peoples? Also, importdude didn't switch jumpers which is why his motor blew, he asked me if I could take a look at the ecu, which I did and switched the jumper for him and tested his ecu for free.

You can ask any of the people who have had problems, I normally answer right away but you have to remember I get tons of emails daily. I have been slow the past few months due to my accident and doctors/hospital visits, etc but I'm trying.

Anyhow, This is the last time i'm going to respond to 'postit4fun' worthless post. really funny because he words things like my biggest competitor does, but i'm not going to name any names.

Exactly. it's obvious this 'postit4fun' is my competition, coming on here saying he ordered a ecu 6 months ago and his 1'st post ever made is about how horrible i am and it looks like he spent a lot of time writing that post

I love dealing with Jason. The transactions are cheap, and super fast. Both items i got from him were at my house within 4 days of paying.

can't argue with that!

BTW Jason, think you could e-mail me again at [email protected] and we can talk about what else you need done.

Sounds good man, let me know when you're ready.

Also for people local to Phoenix; I was thinking about taking a cruise out that way to do some tuning if i can get enough peeps. So far I think AZhitman is down. anyone else down?

I'll be an 1 1/2 hrs from pheonix next week for 4 months, I may or may not be able to bring the 240 down, but I do have an extra ecu I can bring down. I'd like to stop by if you're going to be in pheonix, my email is [email protected]

Nothing but good over this way!

Haven't had any problems as far as daily driving.

Just once or twice after she sits for a few weeks. I don't think the Massachusetts cold is helping though. Cold starts are a pain, and she leans out pretty good while trying to warm up.

Just some more insight, and somewhat of an update. I still need to get a consult cable though.
