Hey guys, I just wanted to bring this to light and maybe I could get some justice because it seems that they are ignoring my emails. So here is the low-down...

1-4-11, I purchased a OBD1 240SX consult board from Emance through their ebay store (yes I am sure it is them). Long story short, they sent me a tracking number which was either broken or they didn't actually send the package. So after emailing them after a couple weeks, they claimed that the shipping service that they use takes a while so that I should wait until February. So I do so until the 1st. Email them back and they say, "oh just wait a little bit longer." So I wait another 2 weeks. Mid February, I email them again saying it still hasn't shown up. So they finally say that they will send me a replacement. I wait another 2 weeks and find out that I can no longer open a case with ebay to dispute the item not showing up. So either this is Emances way of beating around the bush until I can't contest it, or they are just straight up lazy. Now in the beginning of March I email them back again saying I haven't received my item. He emails me back saying, "I just sent it off to my shipping guy."... Ok, WTF were you doing the whole 2 weeks before hand?!

So now as of 3-18-11 I am items-less, $50-less, and they wont return my emails and it is too late for ebay or paypal to forcefully refund my money. Now I am hoping Drape123 (Emance) will show his face here to try and deal with this problem. And if anyone doesn't believe me I can email them all the emails that we have send back and forth and also the bogus tracking number sent to me. And BTW I was dealing with Jason this whole time.

So far Emance is 0/5 stars in my book. Lets see if they try and redeem themselves/resolve this problem.

Nothing but horror stories from Emance. Their tunes are crap.

This is rediculous. Anyone know what I can do to make him ship my item? Much less talk to me. Does anyone know him in person?

I just found out that I can do a chargeback which means I dispute a charge due to bad products or not receiving an item (essentially fraud) and they will perform an investigation and most likely refund my money.

As for future E-mance customers, beware! If you plan on purchasing from him on ebay make sure you receive your item promptly or immediately dispute it through the resolution center before 45 days. He will try to beat around the bush if there is any problems and ignore you. Honestly, he sent me 4 emails telling me that my item was about to be shipped... each email 2 weeks apart. He is hands down "the worst seller" I have even had to deal with. I wouldn't even try to purchase from him through his website.

I talked to him and he said he lost my ecu and that he would replace it and send me my tune.. Long story short he stopped emailing me and I don't have my ecu anymore and he won't contact me?? What do I do? how do I go about this legally? Text or call me at 571 212 7241 or email me at [email protected]. Please help me resolve this issue. -Sam

Do we have an official NICO s*** list? Because if we do this guy definitely needs to be on it.

As for you Sam, sounds like your up a creek because you just send him money with no thrid party involved. Maybe paypal can open a dispute with him. If not try calling your credit card company (if you paid with credit card) and do the same thing I did and open a dispute against the charge.

Looks like I'm going to California then. Can you confirm his address? Is it the one on his website? Is there a picture of this guy on the internet? I'm going out to Cali for business soon anyway so there i no reason I can't swing by..

Yeah Emance had like 1 satisfied customer way back in 2007 or something... since then they've been absolute garbage.

A while back it was proven that he stole his tunes from enthalpy or something, the bin files matched exactly. You know this by now, but definitely not a guy you want to do business with.

I think if everything goes smoothly the first time around its good. But if he encounters a problem he kind of just blows it off. Seems that way atleast.

obviously you know this now, but anyone with feedback below 99% on ebay is often pretty sketchy, and as low as 95.3% (emancellc) and 96.8% (drape123) should be ringing alarm bells as pretty much the lowest feedback % you're ever likely to see on ebay without them being shut down. i guess this is more just to reinforce it to anyone who often gives him the benefit of the doubt...

this is also aside from his consult cable design being ripped from Calum's design (one that was provided for DIY personal use only), his tunes being stolen from other aftermarket tunes, and so on. even the 'emance consult' program with the consult cables is a hacked version of OBD scantech, which at the time cost money (is now free though). basically he only makes money from copying other peoples works and ripping others off. he's just as dodgy as that latvian guy who used to sell USB consult cables on ebay (in that case, a ripoff from blazt, and in the case of the OBDII cables, they were obtained via mail fraud).
