Hi guys,

I had at one time purchased a CA18 to put in my car, I ended up going with RB25... but my point is during that time there was a debate over whether or not the CA18 engine was compatible with the Emanage.. apparently the ignition controls did not work properly and the car would backfire under low RPMs..

well I got my emanage today and there is a revision in the manual concerning the support tool that specifically shows how to wire the CA18. The support tool software revision information says that one of the software updates fixed problems certain cars were having /w the ignition controls.. I think this means the Emanage will work properly now... if anyone is interested go for it!

version 1.11 is the newest support tool version. there have been a number of emanage updates as well to the unit itself. like a bios flash or something. I cannot guarantee that it works now.. but they have a revision page made just for the ca18showing how to hook it up. wouldn't you know it.. they also have a revision page for certain toyotas. Now its just my assumption it works now.. you'd better find out from others who would know first

If anyone is interested I can tell you how to get an emanage, the support tool, and ignition and injector control for about 400 bucks.

hit me up if you wanna know how.. I pulled off my complete set up for

$340.. SHIPPED! how sweet is that?

well scroo it I can just post it here.

Buy the emanage and the ignition harness. you can make the injector harness out of the spare wires off the ignition harness.. thats solved.. then you just buy a "clone" generic support tool cable for about 40 bucks and your set.

mambastu(?) on uk forum, had thread discussin' the emanage timing misfire on his CA. Greddy mailed him a patch to fix it. This was ~6 months ago. Since then, I have seen no feedback on the effects of adjusting the timing on tha ca via emanage tho.Read about 6 turbo se-r guys run emanage as an alternative to the costly jwt ecu. I've not seen one adjust their timing and post the results either...... wonder whassup with that ?

I dunno quest?? I was suppose to be going RB25DET but that plan has been changed, now its going to be SR20 for a year then RB30DET. I'll be using my emanage with the SR and the RB30 so I'll post anything I find out.
