i was looking at the wiring diagram with the main unit instructions. is it even possible to hookup the ignition harness? it seems like there is only one cable to hookup 2 slots over from rpm signal. is that the ONLY wire to hookup? that just doesnt seem right. it comes with a LOT of wires...

I have the ignition harness hooked up on a s14. All the extra wires are there to support the different type of ignition systems out there. for instance a SR20 uses individual connections for each spark plug since its DIS so you have to splice in 4 connections to control timing, but the KA uses a distributor so all you need is one wire. One side goes from the cars harness to the emanage, and the other from the emanage to the ecu, just like the maf connection.

The ecu has one ignition wire that comes in from the engine bay. You cut that, feed the engine side to the emanage, and the output of the emanage goes into the ecu.

BTW, you can use the rest of the ignition harness to make your injector harness, which requires at least 4 more wires to be tapped into the ecu.

hey thanks for all the info guys. i saw the one spot (i think) but i wasnt sure if thats all it was. so the only wire that needs to be cut is the one that is 2 over from the rpm signal in the middle right? just want to make sure so i dont fry anything

oh one more thing guys. what exactly is the point of the injector harness or controlling them? if i remem right i think i read you can control when they open and close. what is the point of this and why would i need it? its also for extra injectors too which i dont have right?

the injector control allows you to increase injector duty cycle to richen the mixture, a much better way of doing it rather than altering the maf signal as most piggybacks do. the sub injector control is for controlling 2 extra injectors if you need them, which i doubt you will
