Alright met hopper @ indy this weekend and we spoke a bit. Where I posed a much a posted question I have had on maxima.org My tuner claims (and I trust him-since my 317dyno proven 157xxxmi car is still alive) that the emanage can pull timing out, but because the car uses three sensors (cam position, crank position, and knock sensor) to determine the timing that the ecu will be able to see that the emanage is pulling out timing and will then add it back in---circumventing the emanage resulting in detonation and as you all know a blown headgasket/piston.
Maxima.org members including hal have popped many a motor in the quest for power and have been using the emanage for all there tuning and they claim that the ecu is not capable of this type of action? not looking to cause problems but actions show that many of these guys have blown many motors. -----and their words say that their ignition tuning is working, but I am susupect because of the all the motors these guys have lost.
Anybody got any info on this? firmly backed up?
