Well How many people here have the Intake system? How many people has complained? Every Q member that I've met has the Intake system. We All Love it! All our cars is running fine. Plus i could be wrong but doubt it.... Why would STILLEN make something to damage a customer's ride? Tisk Tisk...

Few on this board use the K&N because the gain is minimal but the risk is not. If you think anyone can design a better intake system tuned for the VH45DE on the street without investing hundereds of thousands of dollars, you sorely underestimate Nissan and the time and effort they put in the induction system design. I kind of like the way the stock Q45 moans then growls as it pulls away from the bump-a-bump-a domestic V8 idlers who think loud is fast.

Non of them can last 300K miles and still perform as new, I assure you.

Good enough for me..

They did spend hundreds of thousands, as well

Just like the ECU
JWT designed the K&N air filter? I don't think so.

I assure you, if they did spend hundreds of thousands for that one design (Pop-Charger?- How does that work?), they would be bankrupt from the lack of payback for the few units they have sold.__________________Brian1995 Q45 & Q45t & 2000 Q45

okay...since we are all on this subject....I have a question as I have searched everywhere and I can't find my answer.

Does anybody make a cone air filter that is made from the same stuff your regular OEM air filter or at least make a disposable cone air filter that you don't have to oil and would change just like you do your OEM air filter?

this would solve many issues if something like this existed, but the only cone air filters I keep on seeing is K&N...surely there has to be somebody else making these that are not oil based...yes?

unfortunately....it is just the cone filter mounted right where you have the 4 bolts going into the top of your stock airbox....there is no pipe extension or shield....just a direct attachment of where the old airbox was

okay now...back to my question....does anybody else besides K&N make a cone filter and is it an oil based filter? If we could find a non-oil based cone filter that was disposable every 3 months that would solve a lot of issues here.
