In Febuary of 2011 I purchased my first 240sx, a 1990 S13 Fastback with a Sr20det swap. I've always been into cars, but this is my first project. I purchased the car from a close friend whom started the project. Anyhow, It pretty much sat around until october when I started getting down to business. Since, the project has progressed fairly well with minimal setbacks. First, I'd like to get everyone caught up on what I've done so far.

Some nice things that came with the car:
-Aem Ems V1
-MR Tubular manifold, Turbo Elbow, Downpipe, Test Pipe
-3.5in Blitz Neur-Spec Exhaust
-Hks SSQ Bov
-Hks Turbo Timer
-Spec Clutch/Lightweight Flywheel(Brand New)
-Isis Short Shifter(Brand New)
-Vlsd
-Kyb Agx Struts/Tein S-tech Springs
-Nismo Power Brace
-Circuit Sports Coolant Overflow Reservoir
-No Rust(with the exception of the quarter panel I'm replacing)
-Work Ewing Wheels 17x7 +42

This is what she looked like the day I brought here home...
Image
Image
Removed all interior panels, trim pieces, and seats. The carpet went straight into the trash.
Image
Cleaned up and Detailed the engine bay
Image
Pulled the manifold and turbo off to perform a rebuild on the leaky T25(kits available at gpopshop.com)
Image
Cleaned that mess up
Image
-Removed Ac lines and compressor
Since I was planning on replacing the baby side mount IC with a FMIC I needed to relocate my battery to the back of the car
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
The new front mount(Thank you enjukuracing.com)
Image
Replaced the old beat down radiator and clutch fan with, a thicker Isis Radiator and Dual electric fans(Thank you enjukuracing.com)
Image
After waiting 3 months for a friend of mine to rebuild my T25, I was informed that there was scoring on the inside of the CHRA  But hey...so I ordered this
Image
GT2871R along with a Hks wastegate actuator and replaced the rubber intake pipe of a hard one. I also ordered the corresponding fuel upgrade components: Walbro 255, New fuel hose, Z32 fuel filter, Isis Fpr, and DW 810cc Injectors.
Image
Noticed a leak on the power steering rack into the bellows boot, so I replaced that. While pandora's box was open, I ordered new PS lines and reservoir
Image
Replaced steering joint knuckle too(worn bearings)
Image
Installed Oil Catch Can-Valve Cover to Catch Can to Air Intake
Image
Image
New Isis replacement starter
Image
New Belts and MR Pulleys
Image
Filled her up with some fresh fluids, then sent her off to the Gulfcoast motor works in Bonita springs, fl.
While there the following services/items were performed/installed(all by Justin Daniels, an AEM certified tuner):

-E-fans wired to EMS to turn on at 180 degrees and shut off at 170
-Replace Clutch Master Cylinder
-Fuel Upgrade components
-Aem wideband Uego
-Haltech Boost Control Solenoid
-Full Dyno Tune
Blue=14Psi Red=18.5Psi
Image
Just got some Square G6 Wheels 17x9 +15, getting them powder coated gloss black next week. Plan on wrapping them with Yokohama S-Drives
Image

Currently I am waiting on a quarter panel to arrive so I can get all of my bodywork done and finally a full paint job. I also have a bucket list of mainly small things here and there, not to mention the interior. All in due time. I'm sure there are things I'm forgetting, I'll get those up here as I remember them. I'll make sure to keep everyone posted on the latest. If anyone has any questions or suggestions, I'm an open book, hit me up.

Picked up my wheels today from Westcoast Powder Coating, they did a fantastic job on them. Also, my tires came in today and I will be getting those mounted on monday. Not the best pic, but I'll take some shots of em on the car monday/tuesday.

Ups dropped off an enormous package today as well(thats what she said)...the last brand new passenger side quarter panel in the country :chuckle:

Thanks dude. Can't wait to get them on the car, I'm really hoping I can get the traction I need. I Don't see decent tracion until 4th gear with my 17x7s. Should'nt be a problem tho, putting 235/40s in the front and 255/40s out back.

Gotta say I'm kind of jealous of your DD tho, mine is a 2001 toyota echo

Time for update, got the tires mounted on the black gloss squares the other day and finally got around to putting e on the car. Pics don't really do em justice, but for some reason the universe doesn't want me to get my hands on a decent camera :frown:
Anyway....
Suspension: Kyb Agx Struts w/Tein S-Tech Springs
Wheels: Square 17x9 +15/Yokohama S-Drives 235/40(Front) Square 17x9 +15/Yokohama S-Drives 255/40(Rear)

I gotta say, I am loving the traction I'm feeling...its like I can atually feel all the power now.

Thanks dude! Yeah quarter wasn't cheap, was deff necessary though. The wheels actually fit really well, I'm only on lowering springs though. Plenty of space all around.

Well I've only driven on them for a total of maybe 20 miles, but so far so good lol. I can't really comment on the noise level, on the count of the 3 1/2 inch exhaust and there being no windows in it at the moment haha.

Bet ya thought this was another abandoned 240 project huh? NO SIR!

Huge update here! I haven't posted very much of anything in quite a long time. I've been saving cash and doing work like a mad man! I will say this though, girls get a project sidetracked with the quickness! But I choose Boost!
Ok, enough with the jibba jabba, on with the update!

After frying the fuse for the fuel pump relay, i decided that i might have an electrical problem lol. So I ended up hard wiring the fuel pump so I didn't start any fires..problem solved
Image
Next, I started noticing that my fuel pressure kept dropping off. Turns out the seals inside the Isis FPR weren't doing their job. So, I shelled out a little extra cash and bought an authentic Aeromotive FPR, cleared that right up!

Replaced my brake light switch too, did notice that my brake lights that stay on at night weren't working tho, still need to fix that lol.

I Went down to the storage unit to start her up and get the juices flowing one day. But, she didn't want to even try to start, I'd turn the key and have acc power for a second then everything would shut off. Thought it might be the piss poor excuse of a wiring job done by a previous owner for the turbo timer. So, I cleaned all that up, which needed to be done anyhow. But, still no start. Turns out the kill switch on my battery box decided to take a crap, so much win!Weird though, initially I was getting full voltage after the switch, idk, whatever.
After I got that all figured out I took the car over to Larry's house to get all the paint and bodywork. He got crackin and cut out the old quarter panel.
Image
At this point he noticed that the tail light pocket and fender corner were in dyer straights haha.
Image
So, I then called up Josh at Naples Nissan who tracked down the quarter panel for me. He said they were available, but nissan would have to dig out the molds for me since they don't exactly have them sitting on the shelves lol. This would take 6-8 weeks, but whatever, I was just happy I didnt have to track down a donor car to cut them out of.
Image
Image
8 weeks later, I they were in. Then, it was finally time to get everyting welded up  Larry did a terrific job, I was very impressed, so glad I didn't do it myself lol.
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
Had the windshield removed for paint prep, no real rust to be concerned with which was nice
Image

Ordered a brand new rear bumper from nissan
Image
Traded my backseat for a chuki front bumper, and acquired all the necessary stuff for the conversion from the piggy. Larry started prepping the front bumper, and the factory compound that the bumper is made of was literally falling apart. This was great news! Uncertain how long it would last if we simply filled her with bondo, I was going to order a new one from nissan
Image
But...at this point I decided to go big or go home. So, I got my hands on an Origin stream full kit. Consequently, I have a brand new Oem front bumper I payed $300 for collecting dust in storage...but, I digress. Oh, and its for sale if anyones interested lol.
Initially I ran into some fitment issues which was pretty discouraging, but luckily Larry is a miracle worker and got it to fit perfectly!
Image
Image
Image
Removed all the interior sound deadening and primed it up. I plan on putting Dynamat Xtreme on every inch of the interior, including the roof, hatch, and doors. Gonna be beamer quiet lol. Even with the 3.5inch exhaust piping.
Image
Image
I spent about 2 months waiting to saving up all the cash for my paint supplies, $1600 worth. I went with IS300 dark grey pearl.
Most recently, We gutted and removed the doors, and a few odds and ends finishing all the prep work. The paint shooting will begin this week...Finally!

I think thats everything, but knowing me, I'm probably leaving out crucial pieces of information lol. If you see any holes in my story, please do jog my memory!

I need to know who your parts guy knows at Nissan to get new sheet metal stamped. I'd pay a pretty penny for some new sheet metal for the vert.

I forgot about the extra grounds that I added.
-Transmission to chassis
-Valve cover to frewall
-Right side of engine block to chassis
-Left side of engine block to chassis

Bumpers got painted yeserday as well, the color is coming out really nice too. Almost black, but with a perfect hint of pearly charcoal/grey.

Thanks dude, its been quite a journey lol. But that's what its all about. Rest of the paint should be done by the weeks end, so stoaked!

Well just about everything has been painted with the exception of the door handles, side skirts, hatch, door mouldings, and headlight housing inserts. They should be done in the next day or two, Did have to buy a couple more quarts of clear tho, which was not cheap lol. But, well worth the three coats.

I wish I could lay paint like that haha. Larry is my body and paint man, he also fit the Origin kit. All of this was done in his garage.

appreciate it, I frequently lose so I think this may just be a fluke. And you don't need a raise, just move in with your parents and eat ramon for a couple years and your set bro! Haha, builds have to be slow and steady when you make $10 an hour.

The body panels that were replaced get spot welded from the factory, hence the spot welding with the replacements.
