I'm not sure any of that is accurate, no offense. At least not in my experience. Perhaps dealers have wiggle room and can throw in their own rules or what not? My experiences were as follows: My Elite warranty was LITERALLY the factory warranty...after the factory warranty expired. I had the option of paying for Elite and getting x miles of coverage or letting them certify and getting y miles (which was less than x). Literally same exact coverage, warranty, etc. I guess it might depend on where it's purchased but if it's purchased from Infiniti of Scottsdale or Circle Infiniti (or even Lia Infiniti which is my local dealer), it should be 100% as good as the OEM one but with a deductible (if you choose to lower your cost).Mjkkb2 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 03, 2018 9:31 pmElite contract has some exclusions. It is not a bumper to bumper warranty, nor is it an extension of the original manufacturer warranty. Of course as it is with any salesman, they fail to mention it. It is even worse with the CPO warranty. Most people assume it covers everything but often it excludes all electronics and a myriad of other items. I am not surprised the rusty bolt wasn't covered. Same would be for any creaks, groans and wind noises, broken trim peaces, water intrusion, paint deterioration, corrosion, sealed bulbs and all maintenance items.
Glad you have been taken care of, it was the manager's good customer servicing even though he had all the right to deny your claim.
Seems fair. I got mine from Danielle at Circle (I think she *might* not be there anymore) both times IIRC. Courtney is definitely another person who many NICO members have used.Kboakye87 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2018 2:26 pmTaking my 2011 m37x with 59,500 miles in for the warranty inspection on Friday. Will be purchasing from Courtney. Got quoted the below:
12mo/12k= $1,135
24mo/24k= $1,696
36mo/36k= $2,227
36mo/48k= $2,805
48mo/48k= $3,257
Thinking of going with the 24k or 36k.
None taken.Ilya wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2018 9:24 pmI'm not sure any of that is accurate, no offense. At least not in my experience. Maintenance and wear & tear (such as tires and brakes...NOT suspension components like steering racks) is not covered by most warranties unless explicitly stated as such.
I had $6k worth of electrical work covered by warranty and also had multiple suspension issues covered by the warranty (which had a groan). On my 07 M35x they replaced the wheel bearing one time and the steering rack another time. On my 11 M56x, they replaced the stabilizer links one time.

I bought the extended warranty when I bought my 2012 M37X and the warranty is good until 8/13/19. I have an issue with the seat heater. They said they need to replace the seat cushion and it is not covered by the warranty. There is nothing in the exclusions that would deny my claim unless they are using the section about upholstery in section 2. I intend to fight this pretty hard. Any thoughts on my chances of getting them to pay?
