Hi all, Many of you have been inquiring to me about the Infiniti Extended warranty, here is some new info. If you've received your G37 I can get you the Infiniti Elite warranty for only $1880.00. This deal is for this week only because the rates are changing for the beginning of September. This is the 7 Year 100K mile Infiniti Elite Warranty with $0 deductable. My finance guy showed me the detail book for what the Infiniti warranty covers, and it is insane. The only stipulation is, you need to have taken delivery of your G37 by now.

Mike,

I'm not familiar with Infiniti and this warranty. Can you give me some details or route me to somewhere where I can read what's covered, etc.?

No need for a "group buy" - We already get a great rate:

zerothread?id=137453

Lots of "buying power" when you have 130K daily visitors and 75K members.

Kind of a rude, or at the very least ungracious response. Mike, AZHitman certainly doesn't speak for all of us, anymore than I do, but I for one appreciate your posts and the offer.

Not that it requires an explanation, but our rules on commercial posting are pretty clear, which Mike has been alerted to.

And yes, a gracious offer.

I can understand where you're coming from on this to a point... unfortunately, the sponsor you cited doesn't even offer Infiniti extended warranty. Pity.

This brings up a logical question. I have bought extended warranties for some of my past cars and, at best, ended up about even (i.e., cost of the work needed was about the same or less than cost of the warranty). With the last new car I bought (2000 Acura TL) I really struggled with whether or not extending the 4-year warranty that came with the car to 7 years. In the end, I decided to pass on it since I figured that Asian cars these days are extremely reliable. As it turns out, this was the case.

So my questions are (1) for those here who opted for extending the warranty--did this decision actually pay off? and (2) for those here who did not get an extended warranty--did you get burned with repairs that would have been covered?

Thanks,

Doug

I'd say putting an extended aftermarket warranty on ANY "expensive" new car is a wise move - BUT only:

1) NEAR the end of the factory warranty2) NOT from the dealer (unless you shop them against others)

I had WarrantyByNet on my 95 Q45, and it was one of the smartest financial moves I ever made.

I have a 39month lease. 15k miles per year. I calculated that 15k/yr is 1250/mo. And for 39 mo that would be 48750miles max for the lease if I don't go over. Am I right is thinking that I would not have a use for an extended warranty?

Thanks

Not much use for an extended warranty on a lease unless you plan on exceeding the factory warranty....

Has anyone shown any interest in this offer? I'm willing to pay $1,484 for a factory warranty.

Maybe you need to make this offer on the MyG37.com website.

You might want to be careful with warrantybynet and the many names it functions under:

I'm not saying they are a bad company but you should do some research first...

With a Nissan Warranty you can always pay [$100 tip on the side] to dealer technican to FIND defects that they are normally trained to over look...........a new transmission or even ac or electronics display................something will not act perfectly as brand new at 60-70k.

Don't wait until 99,900 to start the process. 5,000 before the end is good.

Be sure to preexplain to your personal dealer technican in advance next time I bring it in, I want you to spend a few off book hours finding something wrong so I gets my $2,000+ back on warranty. Here's a down payment on the $100 I'm sure your extra free time is worth.

Careful with aftermarket as they send inspectors to shop to make sure the shop doesn't over repair or use oem parts..........many times they will send parts from junk yards etc. Their logic is at 99k the parts are used anyway no betterment just a repair that only has to last a short time.

Ever wonder why no one even offers for sale a 200k/12 year warranty even at $5,000 or $8,000.

Why would I need to "do more research"?

I had their warranty for 4 years... Cost me $1100 and they covered $6800 in repairs to my 1995 Q45t during that period.

My "research" did lead me to one interesting conclusion - There's only a couple of underwriting insurance companies that handle aftermarket extended warranties, and they're the same companies that handle dealer-offered warranties.

The ONLY difference? Price tag.

A multitude of URL's means nothing to me. They're all underwritten by the same insurance company.
