Eliminating vac lines/ emissions?

I have a 1985 nissan 720 with the 2.4 z24 with 350k miles on her. I was wondering should I plug all the vac lines and remove the emissions stuff. I'm in fl so there's no emission testing. Most of the vac lines are completely dry rotted and falling apart. I still have the stock hitachi carb on it. I would really like to dumb the engine down to the basics; air, fuel, and spark.

Or should I replace all vac lines? I just hate all the mess underneath the hood and I'm not a mechanic per say so I'd like it simple as possible when/if I have to work on it hence why I want to do the vac elimination
