Anybody out there using ELF synthetic? Took car into dealer for its 11K servcie and decided to do the switch to synthetic. I asked which oil they used and replied ELF. I know ELF has been around for a long time in the racing world, but just curious if any of you out there have experience using this brand. Let me know. Thanks

There should be nothing wrong with ELf sythetic. ELF is a Total Lubricants Oil Company brand and Total, as a company is h-u-g-e.

Which ELF sythetic are you going to use...I see 3 different gasoline types:

Elf Excellium 10w-50 --> Total Quartz Racing 10w-50Elf Excellium NF 5w-40 --> Total Quartz 9000 5w-40Elf Excellium Full Tech 0w-30 --> Total Quartz 9000 Energy 0w-30

As long as you have the right weight for your car, high end brand name shouldn't matter. Total does a lot of work the Citroen and Peugeot.
