please bare with me i have a problem with my z its an 05 track all of a sudden my parking lights dont work taillights and parking lights up front .i have changed all bulbs rear and front but the thing is when u hit the brakes the brake lights work also when i turn my lights for driving the navigation screen is suppose to dim from white day to dark for night well it dosnt dim down when i turn on the swicth for the head lights, what i find weird is when i turn the alarm off and on all the light work but dont work normally as they should i checked all fuses under hood and behind speaker panel on driver side floorboard and they are all good i dont have warrenty and nissan wants to charge $150 just look at it please help thank u every1

Wow thats interesting but I think I would let Nissan look at it, they can find the problem faster than you. It doesnt sound like much but you could waste a bunch of time trying to find out. I would spend the $150. Thats probably all they will charge you.

I don't know if any other Z owners have noticed this. There is a feature in the car that controls the parking,tail, and headlights. If you leave the exterior lights on without the car running, in about five or so minutes, the lights are automatically turned off to save the battery. If this module has failed, I think it may cause certain lights to fail.

Either that or the switch has failed/warn out for some odd reason.

Could also be a relay.

I assume you've already check ed the fuses? is your car an 04 or 05? the 05 should still have warranty left unless you are over on miles, any changes in th electrical lately?
