all you need is a power ground and a switch or thermostat if you have one. i wired mine to ignition so everytime i turn the key to accesory the fans kick on.

Easy, get the fan controller from frsport. No point in leaving your fans on all the time as it wastes more power than the stock clutch fan when the thermostat isn't open.

Go to a local parts store and purchase a thermostatic fan controller.(got mine at Advance Auto) Wiring instructions are included they are quite simple to set up and are avaible with adjustable temps. I bought mine for ~ $25 and it works great. you can set them to run bolth fans as well

Even A maxed out alternator will not draw as much power as a clutch fan

make sure you use a relay if you hook it to the ignition otherwise it will back feed when you shut the car off

. how is this a clutch fan is mechanical and puts strain on the motor... electric fans are electric and put no strain on the engine

This is true however the alternator will have to increace output to supply the voltage drawn; this creates the mechanical strain however it is negligible compared to a clutch fan

A thermistor is a thermostatic switch (a switch thats closes with tempature) It will come wit the kit. In the kit i purchased it is a small brass rod that you insert inbetween the radiator fins. Attaches to the rod is the switch with the two connectors.
