i have a friend whos willing to sell me 2 brand new in the box electric fans with some mounting hardware (like screws and springs ??) for his 95 m3 for 40 bucks. since im doing the electric fan conversion on my s13 would these fans work? they dont have any special mounting brackets (like the sentra fans that actualy look like they are for a nissan) or anything just screws and springs and 2 fans in seperate boxes. buddy says you just screw it on to or into the radiator runs some power wires and done.

Please use a fan controller so the fans come on when needed and turn off when not. just make sure the fans move enough air to keep your car cool.

they are most likely universal fans. 40 bucks is pretty good for two fans. what size are they?

My buddy owns elite jdm and he drifts a SR20 and uses slim line fans on a shroud, and well it doesn't do the job, he switched back to the clutch fan it moves more air.

I also had some cooling issues and I now use 2 slim line pullers and shroud and a 12 inch pusher (large perma-cool). Be careful with cheaper univeral slim lines, sometime they arent as good.

Yea cheap fans wont cool your car very well. my first fat was a really expensive 14 inch fan like 100 bucks for just one. cooled my car very well. I just daily drive. then that fan cought on fire. XD becuase im an idiot. then i bought a 40 dollar 12 inch fan. and it wouldnt do the job car would get a little hot. That fan shorted out. and i bought another better name brand 14 inch fan and it cools fine now.

little bigger than your hand? thats pretty small unless you got bannana hands LOL but your gonna want AT LEAST some 12 inch fans, 14 if you can.

yeah 14's are the way to go, as for the controller, you would be hard pressed to get one from another car to work. because it would be integrated in the the cars wiring harness, cooling system and the fan itself. third party or universal fan controllers let you set the temp for the fans to come on and are better than direct wiring or using a switch.

Make sure the fan blades diameter cover at least 70% of the radiator...
