I'm sure this has been brought up before, but when I searched, I couldn't find anything. But recently my car(03 g35 coupe) pulled a "electronic throttle sensor" code. When I searched online for prices of a replacement part, I couldn't find anything. Is this a pretty common problem on these cars? How difficult is this to fix? average price on getting this fixed?

Depends on which sensor inside cabin or on TB on engine? Normally a warranty item until 70kM and 100kM with the extra cost extended warranty.

Is there any way I can find info on both? I do not have a warranty on my car as I bought it used and it has over 100kM and every place I called when I bought it wouldn't warranty it because of the milage.

Time to get use to spending maintenance and repair money.

I have a mantra that every used car even a 4 year old one needs at least $3,000 in maintenance and repairs ..............marginal things are worn just haven't failed yet.

Engineers design for 100k life to get that number many things last somewhat longer.

You can give up ypur spare time and educate yourself in automotive engineering, buy tools and test equipment or pay someone.

Assuming you are less efficient than an expert technican you will take 2-3 times longer to accomplish the same task CORRECTLY.

The usual problem is you don't have access to $50,000 in test equipment and tools..........no lift, no tire balancers, no air compressor, no parts inventory.

If a car needs 10-15 billable technican hours per year be prepared to spend 40 personal hours to learn the tasks before you start.

Well, I take my car to a very good shop since I'm friends with the owner and stuff, I was just trying to find some more info about this problem. Thanks though
