Hi all, new 1989 Z32 TT owner here.

Just curious, my car does not have the option to electronically adjust the suspension, I’m guessing that was added later. Does anyone know what sort of stiffness the 89 JDM model has vs the sport / touring settings on later models? For example is it somewhere between Sport and Touring or is it closer to one or the other?

AFAIK all USDM TTs had the adjustable suspension. I would imagine the 89 JDM you have is just the suspension that cam on all USDM NA vehicles. There is posted spring rates for the USDM models somewhere on this site, maybe in the "Everything You Need to Know" thread.

Ah that would make sense! I didn’t realise the NA were non adjustable too. Thanks!

The NA and TT models do not have the same spring rates.
Although I believe the shocks are the same for all non adjustable models.
The non adjustable shocks "feel" the same as the "touring mode" of the adjustable TT ones; to me anyways.
