I purchased a used 2009 Murano last week. When I turn on the lights the control panel display blacks out. The rheostat that controls the brightness works on the speedometer area but not on the control panel. The dealer thought the company that installed the remote start might have caused the problem be he said he never touched it. Anyway they ordered me a new one under warranty.

under the screen, on the panel there are 6 big buttons. Press the middle one on the right side, when the lights are on. It will turn the day/night dimming feature off. I just dealt with that problem last week.
