I am looking for an E-boost controler. I had a few in mind. The first is the Blitz SBC but that is only good for max boost level of 25 lbs. The other two were the HKS EVC 3 or 4 or 5. What are the max boost levels of these units. The last is the Greddy Profec B spec 2. This one im leaning towards. What is the max boost level of this one? If anyone has any info on any of the above units, please enlighten me. thanks alot.

Manual boost controllers FTW.

Electronic ones are too weird and takes while to get it to work right. MBC are just set and go.

I use Hallman Pro.

HKS EVC E-Z is nice. So is Blitz D-SBC Spec R. Ive got the Greddy B Spec II and its by far the biggest PITA. Doesnt read boost accurately and boost is never controlled the way it should. Its a 50/50 chance it boosts the way it should. Ebay MBC work well. $10-15 at the most.

i have the blitz dual sbc. its 2 knobs one for low boost and one for high. i set the gain right at the middle. on high boost the gain is much more aggressive. why do u need more than 25 psi again?

profec s, super easy to use. 3 knobs, set and go. holds boost like a champ. and i believe it has an upgraded solenoid compared to the spec 2. rated at 37psi or sumn.

Greddy has two of the B spec models right now. The B Spec II which is the digital junk one. The other is the B Spec S which is the knob style like the original B Spec but with the same solenoid as the B Spec II which makes me leary of it. But from what ive seen, its usually the digital headunit of the B Spec II that goes bad and not the solenoids as much. Once again, im leary of buying a Greddy Boost Controller seeing the problems myself and others run into. A little more money and you can have a Blitz Dual SBC Spec R or HKS EVC EZ which is another knob style.

Not a good reaction to the Apex-i huh? I've been thinking about this too, and I like the AVCR because well it looks pretty, but this thread definatly gives me something else to think about.

yeah i hear ya. i did hear there was a lot of problems with the spec 2, but i havent heard too many problems with the spec s. i have a buddy with a spec 2 and he keeps crying to me about how his boost doesnt hold and what not. then i point at my 3 knobs and he gets mad haha
