electronc or mechanical gauges

wats the big difference between the two, except the obvious one uses an electronic means the other mechanical....pros cons to each one...im trying to decide on gauges any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Mechanical guages are usually more accurate. For oil/fuel pressure guages you have to run non-isolated lines into the cabin. This is illegal for fuel guages by the way. Mech fuel press must be installed in engine bay or on hood (if you want to see it while driving).

Typically you need to be more careful in your placement and routing of the lines. No tight bends, no sharp/hot objects near them, etc.

Electrical is probably a bit easier to install, also.
