I have a Nissan 87 D21, and in the top of my air-filter says "Electro-Injection" what does that mean?
Also, I don't know why but sometimes my car does not accelerates as fast as I would wanted it to be... how can I make my car accelerate faster?

Electro-Injection is how it uses the spark plugs to inject the electricity directly into the combustion chamber.

In all seriousness it just means that it is fuel injected. A basic tune up is the place to start for power problems. Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and fuel injector cleaner.

Yeah the wiring on the vehicle is probably getting old too, so there may be some sensors not getting information to the ECU (or some sensors are starting to act intermittently).

That truck wasn't meant to accelerate fast. It was meant to carry medium to small loads safely and look kinda neat while doing it.

And electro injection just means your engine is a little different than the 720 trucks which used a carburetor.

Agree with the above folks. I'm not sure how long you've had your D21, or how much of its maintenance history you have (which dates back 28 years). But it sounds like you're probably due for a major tune up including new filters, plugs, wires. That should hopefully make it accelerate closer to what it was designed to do. As far as improving acceleration beyond how it came from the factory? Try going downhill.....j/k. There's no one inexpensive way to make your truck significantly faster, but there are plenty things you can do, it just requires time and money. But the first step before modding is to make sure it's running right. Good luck.
