Electrical wire colors?

I'm trying to wiretap a transformer to the power source of my 280zx. Basicly I need to know the power cables colors for Positive, Negative, and Ground, specificly the wires in the brake lights. If someone had a schematic of the wire colors that would be awsome. Thanks in advanced!

Negative = Ground.

Um, are you tapping into a source that already has power? Or are you making your own? I'm confused.

In any case, easiest way is to use a multimeter if these wires are already hooked up.

Power is usually red, green, yellow, or some other color.Ground is usually black.
