I found the resistor needed on my EFI harness going into my ignition coil. The only problem now is that I do not know which wires go into which end. There are four wires going into the resistor and there are four different holes. If possible, can anyone tell me where they go in relation to the readings on top. There are four different colors and it would help me tremendously if I could find out where they go.

Download fsm adobe acrobat version if you dont have one already. The 89-90 sohc fsm in particular has very good wiring diagrams. The resistor itself shouldnt have 4 wires coming off it, but the power transistor is right there and it has 4 wires.

the small yellow with red stripe that comes off the resistor goes to tach input on ecu and to dash tach. The other wire from the resistor comes from the coil/transistor. The power transistor unit on side of coil should have 3 or 4 wires.

Just take a look at a good diagram.
