electrical short problem (no dash and backlight)

my dash light and backlight for some reason went out. i checked the fuse and found it was blown. i replaced it with a new one and that one got blown right after i turned the light switch to the on position. any idea how to fix?

the maf and time light and brake lights do work fine.

I have a short in the wiring somewhere. how do I get to the wiring?
