Good evening...

I am looking for some advice here on exactly which wires to connect to hot, neg. and ground on the rear defog wire on a S13 '92 hatch?? I swapped on a new hatch and the old wire was hacked by someone who didn't want to take the extra time to do the job properly. I assume that the wire is much like coax. or monitor wire in that the inner braided sheath needs to be grounded?? I want to make certain I don't short any of the elements by hooking it up bass ackwards.

Also... Do any of you know whether or not Nissan offers any kind of an OEM defog lug replacement?? I'm sure I can work something out but mine is gone forever and if they offered an overpriced kit, well... maybe I'd sucker myself into it. As I understand it, conductive epoxy is the order of the day for reattachment of the lug to the glass?? Maybe someone has an extra one of these terminal lugs that they could pop in the mail for me?? Maybe if you work at the dealer you have a drawer full?? I know this is common for things like rotor screws, etc...

Thanks for any and all help...

Andrew.

man, i wish i had a drawer of those things. i do have rotor screws though. heh, i dont think the defroster uses coax. there should be one single terminal on one side and one on the other. maybe you know this and i am misunderstanding the question.
