I was driving my S13 down from northern Florida down to Miami(very long drive), on the way the car started giving me ****. The tach would stop reading, it would come on and off. Same thing with the speedo, and my fuel gauge would show I'm always full, even though I know I'm not. In stoplights, it would die on me, I'd turn it back on and it wouldn't hold idle, it would die again. I drove it home, always accelerating at stop lights. The next day the lights would automatically pop up when I turn the car on, and they won't go back down untill I turn the car off. Then the worst thing happened, the car turned off on me in the middle of the street, wouldn't turn back on. I tried turning it on for about 20 minutes and it finally turned on, I drove it home and left it there. Since then I've checked it out, the pump turns on from time to time and shuts off for no reason. I'm guessing there is a short somewhere that is making my cars electrical system go crazy. I tried checking the fuses, they all seem fine. Anyone know if it could be the ECU or something like that. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for the long post(but I suck at electrical ****).

check the part of the wiring harness under the driver side front fender.. if your too lowered the tires will eat through it and sometimes conditions such as you stated will happen if the wires are being chewed through.

well at least thats exactly how my car started acting right after I lowered my car and sure enough my harness was being cut into.

I'd visually check all wire harness locations for any damage.

Thanks, my car is lowered and my tires do rub a little when I take sharp turns. I'm going to check it out.
