I'm 200 miles away from the car right now so I can't trouble shoot

My wife said everything electrical does not work in the car. Nav screen, AC, radio, seats, etc. The engine turns over and drives fine otherwise. This just happened today. Yesterday when I was driving, the Nav screen reset on me but I didn't think much of it, today, nothing works.

I'm thinking a fuse is blown.

Any advice?

Hmmm. I just went in my garage and looked and it looks like those component are all controlled with a separate 10a fuse (AC,Electronic parts, radio, etc..) I cant see multiple 10a fuses all going bad. Maybe it’s one of the relays on the left side under the hood.

Tell her to be careful driving it… the tail lamps may be gone as well.

thanks for checking on your car. My brother is going to look at it, I asked him to check the obvious things and then go to autozone and run their scanner.

The one thing I did do to the car yesterday was remove my amp and subwoofers from the trunk as I needed the room for luggage. I unplugged the amp power connection at the positive terminal of the battery so there would be no shorts.

I tightened the battery cable back up though.

This is Manok's brother... I unhooked the battery and checked every fuse I could find. I checked all the fuses under the hood but I did not check any of the relays. The user guide mentioned a fuse panel in the passenger compartment but I could not find anything that looked like the picture. I did find some fuses under the passenger side footwell panel but those were all good as well.

I hooked the battery back up and checked it with my multimeter. It checked out fine, no problems there.

The power seats do work but the driver seat only works if the key is out of the ignition, in the ACC position or anywhere in between. The driver seat does not work when the car is on. I checked the signals and the headlights and all that and they work.

The radio does not work at all. The tape player in the glove box does not work. I fiddled with some of the buttons on the steering wheel and the cruise light comes on if that helps.

It was too cold to really do much in my crummy driveway but I'd like to get this working for him. The Nissan dealer is about a mile away so maybe taking it there to get their opinion can help. Car runs fine otherwise.

I'm better at working on my VW than his car...

Hey I just found that fuse box I was looking for... drivers side kick panel or somewhere around there. Maybe tomorrow i'll look at it again if your wife doesn't take it to Nissan or if they don't fix it right away.

it really does sound like a faulty fuse or relay. Maybe a wire came lose when the battery was being disconnected? Wav3, try reconnecting the amp power cable and see what elecronics come back up.

Is there a fuse on the head unit somewhere? Maybe my brother can pull the Nav screen out and check.

That's what I think as well. I'll have him reconnect the amp and see what happens.

I fixed it. It was a 10 amp fuse that was blown in the fuse box at the driver side foot well. I didn't check that spot yesterday since I didn't know it was there. Not my car. I think I know more about the car than my brother now.

:D
