i just got a 91 240 dropped in a new motor and now i cant figure out why my tail lights, blinkers, parking lights, and interior lights arent working. along with my headlight motors. but my head lights will come on and the car starts, ive gone and checked grounds, followed wires just to see if any were cut and so on, and replaced fuses which none have blown out.

i have owned other 240s and put in motors but im not too good with electrical so any advice would help because im just stuck now.

I presume that all of that stuff was working befor the swap. Obviusly it is something you did. check that all fuses AND relays are fully seated.

Go over the swap again and check at each step that you did not forget something.

Any chance the reasion for the swap have any thing to do with this problem?

Whith electrical in general, the devel is in the details. take your time and overlook NOTHING. Look over the scematics in your FSM and you will mostlikly find a common point for all those circuts.

there are two places to check fuses and fusible links: under the hood in the relay box, and behind the left foot kick-panel.

to check fusible links, look through the clear plastic top to see if the link is broken or not.

good luck.

got the car with no motor and stripped out hatch. had rust free rails looked like a good deal until now, so far ive done the basics fuses are good and grounds are how they should be. i took out the dash to see if previous owner tried to hide anything and it looks fine. only thing im looking into is my 75amp alternator fuse blowing out but i dont see that effecting so much stuff

that 75A fuse is one of the main fuses. there's only a handful of circuits that don't go through it! i hope that's your problem, cause it's an easy fix.
